I actually enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would! I liked the character growth of everyone and it seemed like everyone had flaws and good sides. Sam kind of made me ??? At some points, but then I remembered "ah yes high school." A really great reading experience! ...more

This is a book set in the early 1990s. It is a collection of letters from Charlie to his friend that he writes during the course of his freshman year of high school. Charlie is an observer, a wallflower, a passenger on the journey of life. The letters comprise his thoughts and observations.

I enjoyed this story. I found myself getting a little bored through the middle of it but the end was spectacular.
