I completely understand why Fever Dream won a Shirley Jackson award...because this book does dread like no other. There was some truly horrifying imagery captured here in such simple words. It was like waiting for that jump scare you know is coming. And the payoff is incredibly worth it. Loved it and can't wait to read more Samata Schweblin. Five stars. ...more
