Beautiful story about two boys friendship in high school. They are both Mexican and they struggle with their sexuality. The parents in this book were very understanding and supportive.

This one’s about everything and nothing at the same time, just slices of life about grappling with being 15 and finding yourself, while still believing that there will be straightforward answers, like the ones on your algebra test. Told through cinematic storytelling with realistic dialogue and characters, and (boomer reference) all the meandering heart of a Van Morrison song. Worth a read for anyone, and highly recommended for YA readers.

I don't get the hype. I know this book has touched so many people and made an impact, but I kept becoming frustrated with how often Ari would change his mind, struggle to articulate himself or bury himself down to the point of me not even believing he truly loved Dante in the same way by the end. I'm not a huge fan of homosexuality-themed books because the books I've read like Will Grayson, Will Grayson, and some of David Levithan's books ruined the whole thing for me. It was one of the reasons why I didn't pick this up sooner, because I didn't want to be disappointed if it turns out to be like those books. But I'm so wrong!! I've had a lot of people, especially on Tumblr, telling me to pick up this book, and I've heard a lot of great things about it. Now I'm regretting why I didn't read

Wow - this book. . . This was one of those books that really affected me and will continue to do so. It is a book I will re-read and will purchase one day. After I finished this book I didn't want to read anything else but another book like this. But there wasn't one - at least not one that I was willing to read. So after I realized that I wouldn't be reading anything like it, I wanted to read other types of YA and went on a YA kick. This book has changed my view of YA. Before reading this book,
