I really liked this book. It was a fairly quick read. I found the relationship between the 2 sisters very believeable and very much like my own relationship with my older sister when we were kids.

I loved finding out more and more about uncle finn.

I felt June was very mature for her age and a good head on her shoulders.
Feel bad for her at parts too like admitting she was in love with her uncle.

The mum was an unlikable, self centered bitch.

For as much as this book was hyped up to be an amazing read, I just found myself unimpressed as a whole. I guess I read it after people have come to be more accepting of AIDS and friendships and relationships with people with HIV/AIDS. Or maybe to me it's just not nearly as big of a deal? Anyways, onto the review:

Really I give this 3 1/2 stars. It is a good book and and easy to read book but nothing amazing. It's sad though when you realize how much time is wasted because people can't be honest with each other. ...more

I loved this book. The writing was fresh, the story was interesting, the viewpoint of a 14 yr old girl was spot on and the time period brought back a lot of memories. I can't wait for this author to write a new story. ...more
