I am so glad that I read A Hope More Powerful Than the Sea: One Refugee's Incredible Story of Love, Loss, and Survival by Melissa Fleming not only because it heightened my understanding and awareness of the Syrian crisis and the struggle which refugees go through, but also because it was an incredible story of an amazing young woman, Doaa Al Zamel.

Oh my! I was bawling for like the last third of this book! Doaa is such an inspiring person. My heart goes out to Syrians.
Excellent!! If you really want to understand the struggles of the Syrian refugees and their search for freedom, read this. A powerful, true story.
