Quick review for a somewhat quick read. I actually liked "The Sun Is Also A Star" more than I liked "Everything, Everything". It's a very ambitious novel that covers a lot of ground, probably more than I think one book could really cover, but what it manages to do still resonated with me on more than one level, and the cross-cultural elements of the novel really stayed with me after I finished the novel, even when I found the events not as satisfying as I would've liked.

"What a difference a day makes."

This book is AMAZING. Seriously amazing. It made me laugh out loud and cry like a baby. It was tough, beautiful, insightful, and heartbreaking-but totally in a good way.

Ah. First love, that adrenaline rush, that honesty; talking about coincidences, fate, destiny, and someone who's meant to be. Sweet, believable, soul driven characters. I did not rate the book a 3 for any reason except - I'm just so old and it's a little - yawn - to remember this far back. I look forward to reading Everything, Everything. A safe, teen book. ...more

I would have enjoyed this more if I had read it as opposed to listed in audio format. That said I loved it. The characters. The backgrounds. Recommend.
