So I've been drinking insane amounts of water while reading this book...
I got this book as a birthday presant last year, and otherwise I probably wouldn't have picked it up on my own. It was my husband that chose this as my next read.
During the first 100 pages I was both intrigued and bored, but the writing was really lyrical, and the chapters short, making the book an easy read.

LOVED this book! I can't decide which ending I preferred but I did grow to enjoy the relationship between Richard Parker and Pi.
"Then Richard Parker, companion of my torment, awful, fierce thing that kept me alive, moved forward and disappeared forever from my life"
The interdependence between the two whilst lost at sea was impressive and to see how their relationship ended is somewhat an ode to the natural runnings of human nature.
I would say that Part 1 and Part 3 were my highlights of the ...more
