What Members Thought
This was a short essay of 50 odd pages adapted from Adichie's TEDx talk.
Honestly I'd started with some high expectations. Though it was indeed good, unfortunately there wasn't anything new to what she said/wrote/observed/experienced. A few instances might be restricted to a particular cultural context. I didn't really find anything that hasn't already been discussed, even experienced by most of us in some form or the other.

In total transparency, I needed a quick read to round out my 50th book of the year to meet my reading goal. This was a beautifully written and clear definition of feminism and why we should all be proud to call ourselves and *BE* feminists. In just the 45 minute audiobook listen, I bookmarked several passages. Everyone should listen or read. You'll be glad you did.

This didn't really provide me with anything new but damn can Chimamanda write! Her style is straightforward and engaging and this would have been a fantastic speech to hear. However, I'm not sure it was really worth being published in its own book.
