I enjoyed this book, but there was something about it that I didn't love. I'm not sure if it was because of the writing, because it was hard to tell what was true information and what wasn't. I swear, the Pulitzer is to novels what the Oscar is to film.
The gimmick here is what every seven-year-old thinks when they hear the term 'Underground Railroad.' That's it. That's the bit that makes this 'science fiction.'
The rest of the story is about an unstoppable bounty hunter who follows the protagonist from refuge to refuge committing acts of terror. It's really just so much torture porn.
