Impressive story, but sometimes (starting with the title) sensationalistic. Also not well written, in spite of the ghost writer, but then it´s from a girl. A pity her mother is rarely mentioned, as her father seemed to influence her very much, and also lived as a partriarch.

This was a very inspirational read by a lovely young Muslim girl from Pakistan who wanted above all else the right to be educated. I had no idea of the many problems facing young woman in her world and it was truly an eye opening experience reading her story. What we take for granted here in America, an education, she had to speak out against the denial of being able to go to school. The Taliban must have been threatened about her voice as she was eventually shot to silence her. Fate or her God ...more
