A surprisingly fast read that held me right from the beginning.
I had no idea what to expect when I first started this book; it's one of those books I picked up and started reading without reading the blurb or jacket summary first.

What a great story! A part of history visited that I knew not much about. Was interested in reading this novel after reading "The Chaperone" which spoke of the orphan trains. Highly recommend this book for realistic/historical fiction fans.
