I devoured this book quickly and enjoyed it but I will not be continuing on with the series.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I finished this book, i finished it in a really short time, so i can’t deny the fact that I COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN, it’s a really easy read and yes, i cared about what was happening to Tris (aka Beatrice)…

BUT!

After finishing this book i was like: “oh never mind”
-The ending isn’t really that wow to make me really curious about the next book in the series.
-The world building isn’t IT AT ALL, so this is supposed to go into dystopia??? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
(I will cite some spoilers, you’re wa I finished this book, i finished it in a really short time, so i can’t deny the fact that I COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN, it’s a really easy read and yes, i cared about what was happening to Tris (aka Beatrice)…

-The world building isn’t IT AT ALL, so this is supposed to go into dystopia??? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!
(I will cite some spoilers, you’re warned)

~So basically we have this fictional world that is divided into 5 factions? But why? Like for what? What the point of all that? It’s ridiculous to count this as a society that can actually happen to be in the futur? NO JUST NO! Why would we even divide a society into factions and each faction with their own “jobs” or whatever, and why are we describing the Dauntless as brave and courageous just because they have bunch of tattoos and piercings all over their body while -for exemple- the Erudites can’t cause they’re the “smarties” ? This idea is so childish!
~Also we saw clearly that every 16 years old boy/girl can change the faction they want to be in, so what’s the point of the test they made if you can just change the faction you really belong to? That means that there is some Dauntless people that aren’t really “dauntless” so why would we even have different factions for this society?

Now let’s get to something else: THE LOVE STORY

-The little love story between Tris and Four made me so anxious, i felt like it was so forced, and- uh the author didn’t really develop their love story as it should be so that’s why i kind of didn’t really care, it was so fast that didn’t get attached AT ALL!

One last thing: Al story… if we could just know a little more about what happened to him, and a little more about him it would add a good taste the book, because this character’s story made me so emotional.

Shelves: favorites

I only had one problem with it and it was the romance. Personally I think the romance between the two characters was kind of akward (one of them being 16 while the other being old enough to be an adult) I hated how they sort of just laughed off the age gap but again these are only my opinions you can feel how ever you want about it.
