I will never get tired of these books! Just like in The Lost Hero, The Son of Neptune exceeded 500 pages, but this story flew by! My favorite part of the plot was getting to hear Hazel's full story early on in the book. In the Lost Hero, I felt like I was left in the dark about the characters forever! However, in this book, I already knew Percy's story from the original series, I haven't learned everything about Frank yet but I think I've got a pretty good picture and Hazel's story was weaved in ...more

I absolutely LOVED reading this!! I had completely forgotten how much I love the dynamic between Hazel, Frank, and of course, Percy. Rick Riordan has expanded the demigod world to include the Romans and I enjoyed reading about the differences between the Roman and Greek camps. All in all, this was a wonderful nostalgic re-read for me!

I finished the book again. I am rereading the series. There is many series in the Percy Jackson series in this order. Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Kane Chronicles, Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, Trials of Apollo. The Trials of Apollo and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard happen at the same time so you need to read them at the same time. But The Trials of Apollo is longer it and is still going on. omg i’ve absolutely fallen in love with this whole series - i literally love every single character and i loved having my man percy back in this book i missed him 🥺 also nico omg legend we need more of him i love him lol (how many times can i say i love lol)
