I had started to think that the entire Percy Jackson series would end up being 3 stars, but Rick Riordan really knocked it out of the park with this instalment!

As the penultimate book, it does an excellent job raising the stakes to the skies, whilst also acting as a standalone. The sense heightened pressure is evident throughout, making our heroes success in their quest all the more pertinent. lowkey my favorite book of the four PJO books I've read :)

I'm pretty sure I started this right after I finished Titan's Curse and have been reading a chapter whenever I got time, so that's why I took so long to read this, but anyways, I LOVE THIS BOOK AND THIS SERIES

When I was reading this, I realized how similar Percy and Clary (City of Bones) were in terms of family situations. Like they both have (relatively) normal moms and and not-so-normal dad. Like Percy has Poseidon and Clary has Valentine.

That was kinda random.

Anyways, this book way pretty good in terms of plot, but there is almost no character development. Percy stays the same throughout the entire series (well he gets braver) and Annabeth does too. Don't get me wrong, I think that the c
