I really had a hard time liking this book. The world that she had created for this story was will written. I just didn't really care for her main character, Alex. I just felt like Alex past couldn't get any worse but it did. I felt like everything that could go wrong for Alex, did.

I really like Dawes. I really think she made this story, even if she was a supporting character.

Darlington: I hope we see you more in the next installment, whenever that maybe.

•I dont really know how i feel about this book. The start was confusing for me, because i dived in without knowing ANYTHING about its genre or its theme or whatever. and i’m not really familiar with these kind of topics. After i understood it, i enjoyed it a lot. after the first 200 pages, Alex started to grow on me. I really liked Darlington’s character all the way. But i feel like the story was slow? 1st reread 2023. This story is still very enjoyable. Original review - Holy wow! I love this. The main character is a "screw up", but gets the opportunity to go to Yale provided she join a group that helps regulate the research of the occult at the college. There is murder, mystery and history sprinkled in the book with a little fantasy dumped on top. It was such a fun, fresh read!!! ...more
