2019 review: The newest novel in this world is set to drop within a few days. I've been counting down the days until I could do a marathon re-listen of this series. The release date for SAPPHIRE FLAMES can't get here soon enough. Ahhhh, Rogan. And Nevada. And all the rest. This is a perfect middle book for both the emotional and action plot arcs for this part of the Hidden Legacy world. Color me happy right now and eager to move onto the next book.

2018 review: I still adore this trilogy. I call it a trilogy because the 4th installment is a novella that is a transition story from Nevada and Rogan to a new set of books and story arc involving Nevada's sisters and cousins. In this book, Nevada is still snarky as she grows into her magic. Some of her scenes with Rogan give me all those feels, while scenes with Cornelius and his daughter, Nevada's clients, give me sniffly feels. The Gordons are very adapt at mixing sarcasm and snark with tenderness, action with reflection, and giving their readers great plots and characters. Renee Raudman remains a favorite narrator and I can't imagine anyone else's voice(s).

2017 Review: I have waited over two years for this book. It. Was. Worth. The. Wait! Connor "Mad" Rogan is definitely on my list of Top Book Boyfriends. Nevada Baylor is on my list of heroines I most want to do a Girl's Night Out with. Just sayin'.

The worldbuilding continues to create a perfect backdrop and the authors are masters when it comes to the rules of magic. All of the characters are nuanced, layered, and have a reason for popping up on the page. The sexual chemistry between Rogan and Nevada is incendiary. The action is packed. The plot perfectly paced.

Oh, and I totally want to be adopted by Nevada's family. Any grandmother who names a tank Romeo (and knows not only how to drive but fire him) is my kind of relative! Thank goodness I only have to wait a little over a month for the next installment. ...more

Holy crap. Now we have to wait until 2017??????
What the hell, Ilona? *sobbing hysterically* How come 2015 became 2017??
I thought it will be out next weekend!

My expectation is kinda low. Waited about...four years for this book and if the book didn't deliver, I'll just curl up and not come out for days :(
