2020: If I was stranded somewhere and could only have one book, it would be this one.

This is the thing I always forget about veteran writers like Nora Roberts aka J.D. Robb. They don't make those intentional mistakes in storytelling like the newer authors. When you are reading and asking yourself, why didn't they just do "this" or "that", which would either make the story flow better or the conflict not happen.

I know I'm only one of a few that didn't like this book, but I really didn't like or connect with the characters. I'm glad I tried this series, but will most likely not read any of the others. I hate it when I don't like a book that is by an author I usually enjoy. Oh well, we all like different things....this was just not a style I like.
