Another great addition to J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood vampire series! There’s always multiple storylines going on within each novel. This one gears more towards Wrath, Beth and his need to remain king and her wish to have a child. There is always loads of drama. And, of course, the reader gets a glimpse of the Brothers and their shellans. I’m so far behind in this series, but when I occasionally pick up the next book to read, I always seem to be able to get right back into the thick of

Long Live The King! *tear*
OMG I love these books! Even the not great ones are great.
I won't post too much so I don't spoil anything but man... I want to read it all over again.
I can't wait to hear more about the Shadows. And the twins!
So glad Lassiter made it into this one. I'm looking forward to his story. It sounds like part of it might be in the next FA book.
The only thing lacking in the past few books is that I really want to hear from Mary and Bella. The same characters seem to make it i ...more

Next up is another series in which I always buy the next book when it comes out, The King by J.R. Ward. Beth wants a child, but it is extremely risky for female vampires to be pregnant, give birth, and live to tell about it. Wrath does not want a child. He can't stand the thought of Beth being in so much danger. Not only that, but Wrath is currently under scrutiny by those he rules over, and they are secretly trying to dethrone him. Will Beth and Wrath's relationship survive or will the distance

I was disappointed with this book. Not because it was bad, but because all of her other BDB books were so great, that she is held to her own high standard. And this one just didn't meet it. In the last several books, she has been adopting a soap opera style of telling her story, jumping from one character to the next in each consecutive chapter. I am not a fan of this style because I like to be focused on the main characters but in this book she took it so far, I felt it was hard to tell who the

I have not found one of the 'Black Dagger Brotherhood' books that I wasn't crazy about yet! I have to say that J.R. Ward does NOT let you down, even after all this time and all these additions. I can't wait for the next one.
