Meh... read very much like a long winded harlequin present. The writing and editing was significantly better then her previous works and the story certainly wasn’t horrible but I wasn’t in love with the hero and was put off by his behavior in the last chapter 👎👎👎 The Heroine was a little too wimpy for my taste and I still don’t understand the characterization of her “betrothed” did James want the reader to like him or hate him? I couldn’t tell... 🤷♀️🤷♀️
