From the beginning of this story I was caught up in it. I really enjoyed that it wasn’t your typical story line it took on a whole different feel to it and kept you engaged and connected to the characters.
I do love a broken hero and Valerius was definitely an intriguing and captivating character very well developed.

Another reading challenge dud for me. There were a lot of characters and none seemed compelling to me. The story began with one character who turned out not to be part of the main couple in the story, so I felt more invested in her than I was perhaps meant to be, and that wasn't much. I think it was trying to be the BDB but fell considerably short. Nice cover, though. ...more
