This was the first time I read a book by this author and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. Although I did enjoy it IMO it moved very, very slowly. I found myself getting frustrated at the pace and even though it was probably what the story needed I felt it was too drawn out. I loved Vanessa. She was a very strong character who despite what she had been through really made something of herself. I loved how determined and strong willed she was. She was the perfect match for Aiden. I absolutely loved this! Ms. Zapata has another hit for me and I can't wait to read more. As everyone else has said her books are a slow burn which is perfect, gives you time to fall in love with her characters. So far Aiden is my favorite of her heroes (so far.. since I've only read 3 of her books but I really liked Dex so I'll need to reread). ...more

This book was not short, it was long... It was not insta-love or insta-sex... This book was about falling in like, falling in love and that comes along with it.

THIS BOOK WAS THE BEST GOOD DAMN ANGST BEAUTIFUL THING, IVE READ IN A LONG LONG TIME!!!!!

I have smashed 2 (long) books from this author in 2 days and omg i cant get enough :)
