This book was funny, but I didn't really like Ingrid. Invoice I found out about her past it helped a bit, but she was just too standoffish with everyone.

This is a short novella but not short on the laughs. We meet Ingrid Asher, a tree nymph, looking to just live in peace. Rob Aspern, “ass face” as several like to call him is drawn to her. At first, Ingrid is put off, but she slowly starts to see he isn’t so bad after all.
The narration for this particular book was really good. There were several different accents which were wonderfully done.

I didn't find anything particularly funny, although the secondary characters seem quite quirky and have made me want to hunt down the first two books that I haven't read yet. The leads here were not all that well developed - again, perhaps because I haven't read the earlier books to know Rob's backstory - and Ingrid was cold by nature, so that was probably why I didn't feel the chemistry between them at all.
