Big fat DNF.... I normally try to finish a book no matter how much I don't like it. But I don't have the energy to even try with this one. This book actually makes me sad that women like it and think the way the guy treats the girl is acceptable. He's down right controlling and not in a good way. Talks down to her and the character thinks it's acceptable and constantly apologizes for it. Um no! The main character is also so immature I had to keep wondering if I was reading a teen book. Iris a strong women who had been knock down by many things still alive and trying to enjoy a life that she might not of had. Dex a good man from the wrong side was yelling at Iris a lot but somehow she got to really know him and love him and he loved her and showed her with everything he does and did and would do. A great read.

This book made me laugh out loud much of the time, but there were a few tears that mixed in. The hero was sexy, hot, alpha male, who could be a jerk. The heroine was strong and feisty mixed with some vulnerability. Loved it.
