Iris is feisty and has survived a lot of trouble in her life - serious trouble. Down on her luck, she goes to Austin to get some help restarting her life from her half-brother Sonny, who is a member of the Widowmakers MC. She ends up working in Dex's tattoo shop - he's also a Widowmaker. I first purchased "Under Locke" 2 years ago in audiobook format. I tried to listen to it twice but couldn't get past about halfway. Just wasn't doing it for me! When I was recently looking for a good read, I checked Mariana Zapata's page because I've really enjoyed some of her other books. That's when I realized I hadn't read the e-book version of this and decided to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did because I loved it! Started off well but once the H and h hooked up all the UST was gone and the rest just dragged for me. It's a long book, and could have been improved and tightened with some decent editing. Iris was annoying and did some incredibly dumb things, coming across as much younger than she was.
