What Members Thought

This would have been a 3 star book had it not been for the inventiveness of Brandon Sanderson. He is known for his world building and magic systems and he delivered on both in this opening to a new epic saga.
However, I feel like this story could have been told in about half the word count. It felt to me like this was a 1000+ page book just for the sake of 1000 pages. It really started dragging in the middle. I do look forward to reading the next in the series though.
