Wow, what a start, I have the trilogy and I loved the first part immensely. Shiva start as an immigrant leader who raises to become the hope of millions. Fight scenes are aplenty and I could imagine the war scenes due to the steady diet of Hollywood movies focusing on the past. Shiva's rise to a hero and then doubting himself is captured beautifully and then there is the cliff hanger ending of the book. I liked the plot of the story.quite imaginative..Shiva as a fictional character..Its a fast paced read..keeps your interest throughout..liked the concept of somras,the mix of history(indus valley civilization)and mythology..The cover of the book is very impressive..the fight sequences though could be described in a better way..Overall the book is quite good as a debut novel...

"The basic premise of treating Shiva as a common man is very appealing. Treatment is very well handled except for the description of Meluhan society which is sort of anachronistic and drags on. Definitely whips up appetite for next in the trilogy"
