Another solidly written plotline, and a continuation into the universe of the Hunger Games. In addition to the dilemma of kill-or-be-killed, the story becomes steadily more political. Some of the hows, whys, and histories are unfolded into a disturbingly believable scenario. The character development moves along at the pace of events, which doesn't leave you with a lot of easy opportunities to put the book down.

It would be interesting to have the young adult readers read these in 10-15 years to see if there is a difference in the message they are getting from the book. Can't wait to read Mockingjay, but at the same time I don't want them to be over.

This book was even better than the first. I can't think of what else to say without spoilers, except that some of the twists were absolutely genius and I found myself literally cheering, aloud, for the characters.
