Hmm so I didn't start using Goodreads as late as 2013 and now I don't finish any book without writing a short review of it on GR.
People who don't read generally ask me my reasons for reading. Simply put I just love reading and so to that end I have made it my motto to just Keep on Reading. I was deeply impressed by this first book in the series. It most certainly stands well by itself, while leaving the reader with a desire for more of this futuristic, dystopian reality. Though it took me a while to get used to the first person present-tense perspective, which deeply annoyed me at first, the plot and depth was such that I -did- eventually get over it and was able to immerse myself in the solid imagery and rapid pacing.

Wow this book has already made me laugh out loud and even cry. LOVE how powerful Ms. Collins writes!
I truly loved this book mostly because most of the things that happen in this book could actually happen!
