This book is beautiful, hilarious and sad. Charlie is a teenager in a high school who has no idea how smart he is and he craves for friends in his school because his old friend Michael died of committing a suicide and Susan who has changed and does not speak to him anymore. Then, the adventures of teen and high school life begins when he met Patrick and his stepsister, Sam whom Charlie is deeply, madly and quietly in love with.

The transition of a boy from childhood to adulthood can be very exciting or very troubling. School can be very hard sometimes but it teaches what one could become. Th perks of being a wallflower is a very interesting novel , which has something to take in for everyone. This is the book of a boy , with social issues , and how he finds a way to overcome his problem in high school.
this book is about a boy(charlie) who is basically a misfit. he is reeally bumped up about getting through the high school. but, he meets two seniors(patrick and sam) who happens to be very nice people. they takes him under their wing and make him a part of the group.its all about how charlie learns about loving someone deeply. not in a funny,typical highschool way. but in a sensitive way.
