A very well written, original idea that deals with some difficult contemporary issues. I liked the idea of writing to "a friend" and understood that Charlie wasn't quite right in the head, I mean no-one wants a protagonist that is perfect right?
I liked the story, the setting, most of the secondary characters and the intimate nature of the narrative.
Things I didn't like - Charlie is a little dull at times, and a little too naive for a fifteen year old.

All I can say is that I wish I could have the friends Charlie had. But seeing the similarities between us I feel we'd have been ffriends.
