Wow. Feeling and thinking so much right now. Even trembling a bit, I'm so moved. What a work of beauty.

So another day another one down, this one which has again waited for years in the bookcases to be read and it's finally done. I am not able to put in the regular reading time nowadays so the books are read in breaks and also because I read multiple books some books are read after a few days gap, this was one such book which I would read every now and then. This was a nice read and I loved the world created by Sabaa and for the longest time I didn't like Laia but she grows so much in this one boo

I stumbled upon this book on the recommendation shelf of Barnes and Noble. I admit, I've seen it on tons of lists but never really looked into it. Deciding to go with the recommendation from the B&N staff, I bought it. I will start off by saying it was not what I expected...it was much more.
Elias is a soldier but not by choice. Forced to step into his destiny, he wants nothing more than to abandon the military life and finally be free of the Empire forever. But at what costs? Laia is a slave w ...more
