So many rave reviews and even though it’s been a while since I read the first book, I decided to pick this up.
No- Still not for me.
I just don’t know why but the only mass series I’m reading and enjoying is the crescent city series. So much happened in this book and I wished I could enjoy it as much as everyone did so that I could have a series to indulge in but no. Just could not. Except Rhys I didn’t care much for others. I liked Elaine but I dunno, nothing kept me invested.

Even better than the first book. It's meatier - a lot more is fleshed out in terms of characters and setting. Maas describes the world that she's created so well that it makes me want to live in Prythian. Almost. Not completely. I could do without all the wars and inter-Court scheming and animosity.

After not really enjoying much of the 1st book, this one has completely changed my mind!! ♡♡♡

I wish I could give this ten stars (*edit* like a million stars). I am SO glad I made it through the lukewarm first book (twice) and decided to give the second a try. I haven’t been this excited about a series since Mac and Barrons. I second a comment below- Rhys is absolutely everything. Now if only real life could pause while I binge read the next books. Seriously. My kids are going to bed at 5pm tonight ;)

They say that you don't own the books that they own you. This one one owns me and consumes me even though I have read the last word.
