What Members Thought
While Divergent took me two days to read, this one I had to fight to keep with it. The first half of the book was boring. But then, in the middle, everything started to come together. That's when the action really picked up. I read the second half in one sitting. So if you start this and feel the need to give in, just keep with it. It gets better. However, I feel like I already read the best of this series, and dread reading the third.

I thought Insurgent stalled a little in terms of pacing, which is odd because I liked the parallel (and less popular) sections of Harry Potter and Hunger Games, where the out-of-power characters are sort of stuck, just fishing around for a way to defeat the enemy, fighting inner demons as much as they are fighting bad guys.

gostei do livro mas nao tanto como do primeiro, enquanto lia houve momentos em que pensava mas mudaram de personagem principal? no primeiro livro a tris é apresentada como uma rapariga forte e neste o livro e passado todo em volta das vulnerabilidades dela e de como ela se quer matar.
no geral gostei mais de ler as historias em redor como por exemplo do four e da propria jeanine do que os pensamentos da tris sobre os pais e o will.

I hated the first book, but I kept having a nagging suspicion that I'd be okay with the second book, especially if I listened to it in audiobook form. Sure enough, I liked this a whole lot more than the first book. 3.5 stars. I won't be reading the next book, though, because everyone seems to really hate the ending. I'm done with this series.
