when i read hunger games i was like "no other book can be better then this one especially in Dystopian genre" but when i read this book i was blown away.

First thought: BORING.
Second thought: too predictable.
Third thought: Plot seemed to be a well cooked meal with all amazing ingredients, BUT guess what? I don't like it.
Yups.
It's a thought I've always had... Why the limited population, and why such a small city? What happens to the whole of earth in a dystopian world? They can't just pick people with certain qualities and pit them in a part of town and give them specific jobs and expect them to not rebel? Not much rather.
And what the hell is f ...more

This review may contain spoilers...I review the factions, characters and the plots.
Let's start...I hope you enjoy!

1. The Factions
I like the idea of the factions and the what they stand for. It was such a creative idea. And it is only logical that
corruption would run amok in the factions.
However, Veronica Roth wrote these factions(and the characters) so one-dimensional. You mainly only get to

After hearing this was the next "hot" thing I decided to give it a read, it came highly recommended.
Things that were good - it was an easy read, that flowed quite well. The story was well constructed, and mostly believable, once you ignore the core concept of the novel, which is kind of absurd.
I don't mind romance, not one bit - I'm quite a romantic. I actually thought the romance in this novel was fairly good, but I was hoping for a bit more than that.

I was iffy about this book and was pleasently surprised at how interesting this was. It is about a dystopian society where when you turn sixteen you must choose a faction to spend the rest of your life in. If you choose a different faction then what your family you must leave your family and go live with the faction you chose.. I liked this and thought the world she described has a lot of parrallels to our world now.

Read this really quickly. It wasn't a heavy read and I loved the pacing and the fact the author didn't submerge us in pointless details. Great character development with Tris. I almost felt the emotions with her. lovely yet exciting chemistry between her and Four. I really hope the film does it justice. Need the next book, NOW!

I liked the fact that "Divergent" is something between "Harry Potter" (which is the series of my life and childhood), and "The Hunger Games" (and that series was my rebound of Harry Potter).
At first it was pretty difficult to read, but then I got caught into the story and followed Tris and Tobias closely until the end. I'm super curious about what will happen next, so I can't wait to read the sequel. ...more
