Well well well so for the kicks I read the first book from the set again. Originally I had read the illustrated edition with Black and White images before each chapter and few color illustrations throughout the book. I had bought the box set for the series, this copy was left initially as I preferred to read the wonderful version for the first part.

I knew the major points of the story due to the show but still their effect was effective to knock your brain away.

Well well well so I was finally able to start the series and what a start. And too boot it was the illustrated edition with Black and White images before each chapter and few color illustrations throughout the book.

I knew the major points of the story due to the show but still their effect was effective to knock your brain away.

It was a lovely read and I would soon jump on to the next part after finishing the few books which I had left in the middle when I lost myself among the Song of Ice and ...more

If you are looking for a new epic fantasy series to read this one is worth looking at. A Game of Thrones is set in an imaginative new fantasy world with interesting characters and a never ending power struggle. I will certainly be continuing this series.
