stieg larson is genius in keeping crime investigation very interesting. It's the mystery which made me turn page after page. The books starts with henry vanger brooding over the death of his niece, who was murdered 35 years ago. The fact that the body was not found and it happen in an enclosed island under dramatic condition baffled him. I enjoyed the novelty in the characters here , although I imagine they're built around amalgams of people the author already knew.. an edgy story, it captures the interest and keeps the reader engaged throughout. I thought the film version was a disappointing pick up on the story, but that's so often the case,, and why I always try to read the book first if I ever wanna see a movie based on a book.

This was a title it was hard for me to engross with at the beginning but really fell into it about a quarter of the way through. it ended up having a good pace that kept me turning pages long after I thought of putting it aside for a bit. had a few minor twists not expected but i was pleased to have been able to foresee most of the major plot twists.
