The King and Queen have died in the kingdom of Carthya and War is brewing all over the lands. Conner, a nobleman of the court, devises and evil plan to put and to put a false prince on the throne to give him ultimate power. To do this he takes four orphans and train them to be the long lost prince to return to the throne. And the only choice these boys have is to follow his orders, or be killed. This was no doubt one of my favorite books i have ever read. Instead of most medieval times books being fantasy with dragons and goblins, this book pushes away from all of the mainstream medieval writers and makes a very suspenseful drama that will keep you reading until you finish. Each and every character in the book has their own special personality, as an example Sage (the main character) will do whatever it takes to survive. If you think this is just another cheesy and corny fantasy story then you're wrong.
