I. HAVE. NO. WORDS. None at all. Simply, wow.
What the heck!? WHAT AN ENDING and WHAT A CLIFFHANGER. I have SO many questions that I don't even know where to begin. Who? What? Wait, how did that happen!? WOW.
This book, this series, is absolutely INCREDIBLE and I urge everyone to read this series. There is no way to explain what this book is about, or what this series is about, you just need to go in blindly and read it. A fair warning is that these books are very dark, gritty, and graphic in thei ...more

The Fifth to Die is the second book in the 4MK trilogy and holy hell, that was fantastic. Porter is in some major dog poo in this one guys. The 4MK killer (Bishop) has gotten into his head, and he has gone off the grid. Bishops killings are very different this time around, so different, that they're questioning if it is him after all. Oh my god, so good! If you haven't picked up The Fourth Monkey by J.D. Barker (the 1st in the 4MK series), then just go do so now. Then read this one when it comes out the beginning of July. (There is not much point in reading the 2nd if you haven't read the 1st - and the only reason I did not give this 5 stars was because I am going to have to read the 3rd to get the whole story. This is a personal pet peeve of mine.)

I don't think I have the words to properly review this book except for...... WHAT?! That ending had me rereading the last two chapters because I couldn't figure out what the heck I just read!! This book was insanely intense right from the start and didn't miss a beat in picking up where the first book left off.
I'm reading this series as part of a reading group, and we aren't getting to the third book until next month!! How can I wait that long?! I'm telling you, if you like crime thrillers, and ...more
