I'm in love with steam punk books. It's my favorite genre, actually. So it's not at all a wonder that I actually loved the first book in Clare's The Infernal Devices. The truth is, I was hesitant to read this book before, because of how badly my reaction was to reading City of Bones. But this book was a whole lot better than the latter. Now Clare's writing was more vivid, more.. just more. I went to read this book expecting another CoB disaster, but damn. Thank gods it didn't happen.
