No tenía esperanzas de que la serie mejorara con este libro. Es más, sólo lo leí porque quería saber si Kiera Cass podía escribir algo peor que La Selección. Me llevé una gran sorpresa con esta secuela. No, no es la gran cosa, ni me gustó hasta el punto de babear por Maxon y Aspen, como muchas hacen. Pero debo admitir que no lo odié tanto como odié al libro. La historia no mejora, ni tampoco los personajes, pero hubo más acción y momentos "de infarto", por decirlo así.

América se superó en lo que a estupidez se refiere. Ella es la chicas más indecisa y tonta que existe. Se la pasa de Aspe a Maxon en este libro, rebotando en uno y el otro. ¿Aspen o Maxon?, ¿la corona o Aspen? No comprendo por qué le toma tanto elegir uno de ellos. No se puede estar enamorada de dos chicos a la vez, América, no eres Tessa Gray. Sólo quería matarla, así no tendría que lidiar más con ella. Me parece muy hipócrita por reclamarle a Maxon por besar a Celeste, cuando ella hace exactamente lo mismo con Aspen.

Maxon tampoco mejoró. Su personaje me parece bastante estúpido. Yo lo imagina como todo un galán, por que todas lanzan sus bragas. Pero él es débil, muy frágil para mi gusto. Me hubiera agradado ver más fuerza y carácter en él, ya que sólo deja que su padre le dé órdenes y lo maltrate. Realmente no entiendo la razón por la cual aún sigue con el concurso. Si él ama mucho a América y piensa que ella terminará convirtiéndose en su esposa, ¿por qué no termina mandando a las otras concursantes a sus casas de una vez por todas? Me parece muy mal que él siga con el show cuando claramente ha tomado una decisión. En injusto que les siga dando esperanzas a las otras chicas. Ellas aún creen que tienen una oportunidad con él. Maxon sólo las utiliza para darle celos a América, la cual sigue sin decidir a quién ama. Es un enredo.

A pesar de que los personajes mantienen la misma actitud estúpida que odié en el primer libro, La Élite me gustó un poquito, porque el final me pareció normalito y quedé con la boca abierta por lo que le sucedió a Marlee (view spoiler) Tampoco es lo mejor que he leído, pero me parece aceptable. ...more

I never should have bought this without reading it first. The first book was amazing and I got it in a heartbeat but this one left me cringing within the first 20 pages. At one point, I had to restrain myself from throwing the book at the wall I was so utterly frustrated at the plot and at the characters stupidity.

The largest source of my grief? How America was jealous of Maxon dating the other girls. Honey, you're in a competition for his heart so you have to compete against the other girls. Th ...more

As America's journey in The Selection continues you can't help but carry on page by page into this adventure with her. With fewer girls remaining than before The Elite bring not only drama but a darker side to The Selection series that I really enjoyed.

I don't even know where to start ... I think this was one of rhe most frustrating books that i've ever read in my entire life, OMG AMERICA ! Can't you chose someone ? You where like maxon, aspen, maxon, aspen... It was soooooo frustrating, i just coudn't stop reading it though. It was so good, even better than the first one, it made me cry soo many times, soooo many ! Oh Miss Kiera Cass, you are a goddess among human beings for creating such a beautiful beautiful story!

I can't even...sometimes I hate dense female protagonists...and for some reason that seems to follow the trend lately. Oh I know Aspen-lovers out there will hate me for this...but why must you keep going back for Aspen!!!

OMG!!!! I just want to kill her!!! Go die America!!! JUST. GO. DIE!!!!! Make up your damned mind already!!! It's an obvious choice. Maxon. You idiot. CHOOSE MAXON!!!
