This was even better than Cinder. This sequel made my feelings escalate tenfold. I was gushing, laughing and crying. It was such an exciting book. But very stress induncing. The feels.
I'm just gonna say that this is becoming one of my new favorite series.
Gonna jump straight into the next volume.

Scarlet picks up right after the events that take place in Cinder . Cinder has been captured per the request of Queen Levana (because she realizes who Cinder really is). Cinder is Princess Selene. She is supposed to be the savior of the Earthens and Lunars. People hope that she will take back the crown from her evil, controlling, nefarious aunt, Queen Levana. Dr. Erland gives Cinder a name, one person who will be able to tell Cinder everything she needs to know about her past and her future. ...more

I'm not going to lie, I was fairly disappointed with this book, to me it seemed like a filler book, simply bridging the gap between the first and third book.

As this is the second book, I will be going into a spoiler-filled discussion, however if you haven't read this series and are a fan of fantasy/dystopian books, I highly recommend this book. If you want to know a bit more about the world, I'll link my spoiler-free review of Cinder as well

I LOVE this book....I was kinda pissed off after realising there were new characters in this because I only wanted Cinder's and Kai's point of view...but it's a good read so I recommend. ...more

this book reminded me of all the reasons I fell in love with the lunar chronicles. while I did not enjoy Scarlet's character quite as much as I loved Cinder's I did race through this book and am defiantly glad I waited until I had Cress before reading this one... I learnt my lesson after reading Cinder. Wolf was certainly an interesting character but I would have loved to get into his head a little more as he is one of the most different characters I have come across so far in the series, but ad ...more

This book was really a lot of fun to read. Nonstop excitement and an interesting storyline development. The first book, Cinder, was good, but this one was just a whole bundle of entertainment.
