I’ve always marveled at how well-structured and elaborate Sarah’s fictional worlds are. The details about them are well thought out and there are maps in books for our better understanding of them. This book is an unusual retelling of Beauty and the Beast, intricate and including faeries. LOVED IT!!!!
I love Beauty and the beast so when I heard about this book I knew I had to read it. As soon as the beast came to take our main character I knew I would love this. I loved Feyre (or however it's spelled) and thought that Tampin was a great love interest. Now, the book was kindle slow for like the first half or so but I still loved that. I really enjoyed getting to know the land and the characters. The last 200 pages though, were AMAZING!! I found myself becoming short of breath and ...more

Not my cup of tea.
I found Feyre to be reckless and impulsive. I couldn’t relate to her way of thinking or decision making.
Tamlin was broody and not very conversational.
The setting of Pyrthian was neat. A lot of lush imagery, interesting lands, and some mysterious politics.
I could do without the descriptive sex scenes. I’m not a big fan of romance to begin with, so take that with a grain of salt. But it’s not my thing.
