Okay. Selection #4 . I thought The One is the last book of the series? Well, I'm not complaining. First, look at that effin' gorgeous cover. I mean, LOOK AT IT. It's prettier than the first three.

Anyway, in this book, we all get to meet the eldest twin of now King Maxon and Queen America.

Cass impressed me. Unfortunately it wasn't in a good way. There have been a handful of main characters I haven't liked over the years. America climbed her way up that list rather quickly. But Eadlyn has surpassed her. This girl is insufferable. She could've died in this book and I wouldn't have cared (what does that say?). Part of the problem, I've come to realize, is that I don't think Cass is very good at character voice. I almost think 3rd person would've been a better narrative. Because inst ...more
