Before I read Anna and the french kiss I disliked contemporary. I had only read The Fault in Our Stars and Will Grayson Will Grayson. Both of which made me feel bad and I personally didn't like.
However Anna and the french kiss and Lola and the boy next door made me feel happy and I always enjoyed it. I finished Anna and Lola only a few weeks before Isla came out.
So when I saw it on amazon, I was like:

PERFECTO.
amo que tenga tantas cosas y defectos que muchas personas pueden tener en la vida real, estos libros (Anna and the French Kiss y Lola and the Boy Next Door) nos enseñan un montón de cosas, y nos da tanto que pensar y cosas tan comunes que realmente pueden suceder, de lejos este ha sido mi favorito de los tres, ASI QUE ¡BRAVO!, porque Josh, Isla, St. Claire, Anna, Lola y Cricket son unos personajes asombrosos y se que si no hs leido estos libros te encantarán. ...more

I'm sad that I had to take such a long break while reading this book because of school. I think it took away from the experience of reading it, but regardless, I did enjoy it.
The timing of the events in this novel was pretty spaced out at some parts. Usually I'm not a huge fan when books do that, but it made sense for this book. The book dealt with conflict within a relationship and it shows that not every relationship is perfect.

My rating is 3.5 stars! ♥ (I finally got around to saying something about it lmao)
I absolutely loved Anna and the French Kiss and Lola and the Boy Next Door, so this one is definitely my least favourite. The romance in this book just felt so rushed at the beginning and it was unbelievable how quickly they started a relationship, but hey, I like romance, and it was definitely a change from Anna and the French Kiss. Go and read all three if you want easy, enjoyable, cute reads!! ♥

Honestly i didn't like Isla as a character, like at all. Anna and St. Clair were the highlight of the entire book for me.
