I love the idea of the "list"
.....I want to complete a list of crazy things over the summer!!
This book....just makes me feel all tingly inside.

I am in love with this book. Everything about it - the characters and the story and the cover and, well, just everything

Okay, let me back up and start out with a confession: This is my first Morgan Matson book, and until I saw everyone getting so excited about this book releasing, it wasn't even really on my radar. Then a few months ago I saw a "Catalog Creepin" post on the Perpetual Page Turner blog and she had mentioned being excited for this book. And for some reason, most likely because I re I am in love with this book. Everything about it - the characters and the story and the cover and, well, just everything

Okay, let me back up and start out with a confession: This is my first Morgan Matson book, and until I saw everyone getting so excited about this book releasing, it wasn't even really on my radar. Then a few months ago I saw a "Catalog Creepin" post on the Perpetual Page Turner blog and she had mentioned being excited for this book. And for some reason, most likely because I really respect her opinion and enjoy the style of her blog, that sparked my interest. And after that, I feel like every blog I visited was suddenly mentioning this book, or perhaps I was just noticing the mentions for the first time, but anyway, after that I just decided I had to read it. Long story made short, I was so excited when it came out that I started it almost right away, even though I was way backed up on review books. And now, you guys, I get it. I really do. Morgan Matson is a freaking amazing writer. She just writes in a way that makes you so excited to get to the end of the book, and yet also never want it to end.

I know I've been rambling, but I don't want to say much about the plot or the characters, other than that I loved all of it. The only teeny tiny problem I had was that one of the supporting characters seemed to have just kind of disappeared toward the end, though after what happened, that may have been intentional. And that's it. Otherwise I loved everything about it. I loved that the story was so many things at once. It was about Emily finding Sloane, but finding herself in the process. Not only that, but through Emily's journey to find Sloane, she really found Sloane, if that makes sense. Well, it makes sense to me. Also, it's kind of this mystery, but the story becomes something completely different somewhere in the middle of it. I just loved it and I am SO excited to read Amy and Roger's Epic Detour and Second Chance Summer.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy and read it. Right now. :) ...more

THIS IS THE BOOK I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! I've been stuck in a slump of reading average books that just don't excite me but this thankfully pulled me out of it. Reading the blurb I was a bit cautious as to how this would play out but I shouldn't have worried, Morgan Matson is quickly becoming on of my favourites in this genre. Each book she writes is better than the last.

I loved this book. It was sweet and funny without being too dramatic and unbelievable. What a breath of fresh air in the YA contemporary genre! Definitely recommended for all teen girls everywhere who have ever had a best friend, or who harbors a romantic heart.
