Half-Blood reminded me of Vampire Academy. To be honest almost the whole book was copied from it. The main character had run away from the school. Right away she is brought back to school. She needs to prove herself and train with a hot instructor who eventually falls in love with her. This book was not original at all. Not a new favorite, but still good. Still the Daimons (I cannot stop calling them day-mons!!!!) being allergic or whatever to titanium was EXACTLY like the whole obsidian thing in the that series.
I just know my 13 year old self would have given this book 5 stars, but my 25 year old self isn't nearly as impressed
