Although it did begin slowly at first which was neccessary for the plot to evolve. Soon I became completely engrossed in this book just as I had with beautiful creatures. The story is very different from that of the first but I still found myself loving this story. I liked that I was able to see more of Link's character who I don't think there was enough of in the first book. This book started slow and it took a while to come to its original pace. But altogether it doesn't loses it's charm. The story continues from the Beautiful Creatures. Characters develop highly especially Ethan. We get to read more Link and some new characters are also introduced.

This book was a bit boring compared to the first one. Don't know, I just feel like this book was written by a completely different person because the writing doesn't seem in any way alike or similar to the writing in the first book.
