More adult-themed than The Outsiders. It is quite a depressing read. I was going to give it 2 stars, but the fact that Hinton could depress me so, must have meant it had more of an impact than I first thought.

I am a big fan of S.E. Hinton, and so far this is on my top three favorite books.I love the way S.E. Hinton wrote little flashbacks instead of an entire life story. By adding short flashbacks she helped maintain the same mood and tone throughout the story. Not only that, but like her other books she maded it seem very realistic. An excellent proposal... 15 stories, all under 1000 words, written through a fictional character named TIm. All interesting, all well-written, but so short! The book is half interviews to make up for the brevity. Which were a great read, too...
