WTF!!

I just don’t even know where to begin with this book. I was seriously disgusted with a lot of it, especially the beginning. I think the fact that I did the audio version rather than actually reading this kept me going. The amount of times I shook my head or said “whaaat” out loud was crazy. This story was so hard to read. It's categorized under Erotica and Romance. Somehow though it's not really either. I did not get that warm fuzzy feeling like you do in a typical romance nor did I fan myself during the sex scenes. This book is dark and disturbing. Did I say dark? Because it's so very dark. This book is a psychological thriller at it's best. It takes you on a journey that will leave you scratching your head and wondering what the hell you just read.

Ok this book took me several days to finish. At first I was so bored and wished something might happen like Claire standing up for herself or running. It was full of so much build up that I had to keep putting it down. There was no relief for the level of angst this book delivered. Wow. This was a truly dark, and powerfully emotional book. Aleatha Romig kept me riveted. I am so impressed with her writing style. When I first read the synopsis, I didn't know if I would even like this story. It seemed so disturbing. While there are some parts that are difficult, it's didn't leave me feeling disturbed. Oh my god!!! Now I understand the reviews I read early on...this is not a love story! I was deluded into believing that somewhere deep inside the black eyes was love! This is revenge at its finest. I still love the good tony but I love the fighting Claire more. Cant wait to read the next book!
