ok I have to ramble because so much has gone through my head since I finished this book that I can't think straight. Not sure I have adequate words for my feelings after this book. When it takes you a day or 2 to wrap your head around it can go either way. To me this was a combination of Thoughtless and Beautiful Disaster with a mixture of fantasy as opposed to just fiction. I just wanted somebody to be pissed off or atleast hold Harper accountable for her actions!!! There were SEVERAL situation

I seriously had to sleep on this before I wrote my review.
From the beginning of Taking Chances I was super into it. Felt like one of those I like you, I hate you, I want to be with you kind of books. Nothing too much but boy did that change.
Harper an 18 year old kid leaves her hometown for a college that is on the other side of the US and steps into the world of unknown. She was home-schooled, never had a boyfriend and was always around Marines being that her father was one as well.

From the beginning this book hooked me. This book will make you happy, cry, laugh, angry, etc. The story is well written and the story flows well. This is actually one of the best YA books I have read recently.
The main character, Harper, is well developed and you want to continue on her journey. The love she experiences from everyone around her is what makes this so moving because of her past.
I recommend this book for everyone who likes to read mature YA books.
